Terms of Service

Rules for using Lumi, content rights, AI services, paid plans and support.

1. About Lumi and these terms

These terms govern your use of Lumi, operated by 幸运蜗牛 (Lucky Snail), including islumi.com, the browser extension and connected services. By using Lumi you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Contact: haolucky0@gmail.com. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

2. Service and eligibility

Lumi is a learning assistant for YouTube and Bilibili, providing bilingual subtitles, speech recognition, video summaries, questions and answers, notes, a learning library and webpage translation. Lumi is not an image-generation or intimate-imagery service. You must be at least 13 and meet the minimum age and consent requirements in your jurisdiction. If you cannot enter a binding agreement on your own, your parent or guardian must authorize your use.

3. Your account

Provide accurate account information and protect your devices, login credentials and provider API keys. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate others, share access to evade usage limits, or create multiple accounts to abuse free allowances.

4. Permitted use and prohibited content

Use Lumi only for lawful purposes and content you are entitled to access and process. Respect copyright, privacy, consent and the terms of Google, YouTube, Bilibili and other relevant services. Do not bypass paywalls, access controls, membership or regional restrictions; redistribute content without permission; disrupt the service; exploit security weaknesses; or extract other users’ information. Do not use Lumi or any connected Google API to create, facilitate, solicit or distribute AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery (AI NCII), sexual exploitation material, or other illegal or abusive content. Do not use the service for harassment, fraud or infringement. Report suspected abuse to haolucky0@gmail.com.

5. Your content and shared results

You retain your rights in content you provide. You grant Lumi the permission necessary to process, transmit, store and display it to deliver the features you request. Where a workflow publishes reusable transcripts or generated video artifacts to the shared cache, that permission includes serving those results to users of the same video. Private notes and account records are not made public merely by this clause. You must have the rights and permissions needed for the content and the sharing workflow you use. Lumi does not grant ownership of third-party videos, captions or other source material. AI output may not be unique or eligible for copyright protection. For a rights complaint, send the affected URL or result identifier, a description of your rights and a way to contact you; we may restrict or remove disputed content while investigating.

6. AI accuracy and third-party services

Transcripts, translations, summaries and answers may contain errors, omissions or misleading statements. Check important information against the original source; outputs are not professional medical, legal or financial advice. Availability depends in part on video platforms and AI providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of their services. BYOK providers may bill you separately, and you are responsible for configuring and securing your chosen endpoint and key. Lumi is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google, YouTube or Bilibili.

7. Plans, quotas and purchases

Features, prices, quotas, validity periods and purchase conditions are shown on the pricing page, in your account or at purchase. Review those details before paying or redeeming a code. Usage may consume separate AI-token or speech-recognition allowances. Third-party BYOK fees are separate from Lumi charges. A free allowance is not a promise of unlimited or permanent service. For billing errors, cancellation or refund requests, contact haolucky0@gmail.com with your account email and transaction reference, without sending full payment credentials. Eligibility depends on the purchase terms, the payment channel and applicable consumer law. These terms do not remove any mandatory refund or withdrawal rights. Changes to paid entitlements will be communicated as required by applicable law.

8. Suspension, termination and changes

You may stop using Lumi at any time and request account deletion under our Privacy Policy. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, nonpayment or legal obligations, and provide notice where appropriate and permitted. Contact us to ask for review of an account or domain restriction. We may change or discontinue features; where a change materially affects a paid service, applicable notice and consumer remedies remain available.

9. Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide a useful and reliable service, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free outputs or continued compatibility with every third-party platform. To the extent allowed by applicable law, Lumi is provided as available without additional implied warranties. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits your mandatory consumer rights. You remain responsible for checking outputs and using content lawfully.

10. Updates, disputes and contact

The updated date identifies the current version. We will provide appropriate notice of material changes; changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights. If you have a concern, contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Applicable mandatory law and your rights to seek help from competent courts or regulators remain unaffected.
